We took a closer look at our packaging and changed the way we make our measuring scoops.
Measuring scoops are an essential part of our products, but they were previously made from hard, unrecyclable plastic, which was something we were passionate about changing.
Since June 2020, all our measuring scoops are designed to be recyclable and are made from polypropylene, which is more widely recyclable material.
Given that we use around 300,000 measuring scoops each year, this will have a major impact on the environment, with scoops no longer needing to go to landfill.
If you or your family use a Vitaflo product containing a plastic scoop, please play your part too, by recycling this in your kerbside recycling collection, where available, or alternatively, at your nearest recycling centre. If you aren’t sure if plastic kerbside collection is available in your area, please check locally on how to correctly dispose of.
This simple improvement is only part of our wider efforts to shape a waste-free future and to reduce the amount of plastic on our planet.
Our commitment at Vitaflo, is to achieve 100% recyclable or reusable packaging by 2025.
