On Friday 28th June, Vitaflo officially kicked-off the expansion of its factory in Rosbach vor der Höhe, Frankfurt, Germany. To mark the occasion, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the site to coincide with International PKU day, raising awareness of this rare metabolic disorder. PKU is one of the many inborn errors of metabolism that this factory produces products for.
The expansion will support Vitaflo in meeting the increasing demand for specialist infant formula and protein substitutes for PKU and other inborn errors of protein metabolism around the world, and is expected to be completed in spring 2025. The brands COMIDAMED and MEVALIA, produced at the Rosbach site, are integral to our commitment to support patients and their families. The expansion will bring:
• investment of over eight million euros
• modernisation of production
• increase manufacturing volume
• more jobs at the site from 2025.
