Nestlé Health Science is unveiling an innovative wellness tool designed to support people on their health journeys. The Solgar Smart Mirror will make its debut on 29 January for one day only at the Iconic John Bell & Croyden pharmacy on London’s Wigmore Street, where shoppers will be able to try it for free and discover their Overall Wellness Score.
Developed in collaboration with Nuralogix, a leader in AI-powered health monitoring technology, it combines cutting-edge facial scanning with advanced data interpretation to deliver personalised wellness insights - all completely free of charge. The Solgar Smart Mirror is also available as a mobile experience, utilising the same technology at www.solgar.co.uk.
Using a smart camera and thermal sensor, the Solgar Smart Mirror analyses facial blood flow and skin temperature. Leveraging machine learning models, it calculates dozens of wellness factors to provide insights into your wellness profile, including indicators such as Facial Skin Age, Physical Wellness, Cardiac Wellness, and Current Stress Levels. Users can also receive an Overall Wellness Score, a composite measure of key health factors. During the event, there will be a team of qualified Solgar nutritionists on hand to provide further personalised support following the facial scan, leveraging the heritage of Solgar and it's 300 products to truly personalise each individual's wellness support.
Sam Gutsell-Forshaw, at Nestlé Health Science, said: “Our mission is to make wellness more accessible and personalised for everyone. We believe that health is not one-size-fits-all and the Solgar Smart Mirror reflects our drive to innovate and help consumers make informed and personalised choices about their health.”
Alexander Johnston, GM at John Bell & Croyden said: “We are delighted to welcome Solgar’s latest innovation to John Bell & Croyden. We pride ourselves in offering our customers exceptional advice and support in their wellness journey, and the Solgar Smart Mirror is a great example of how tech is helping individuals find the solutions they are looking for.”
Backed by large-scale clinical studies where the technology was tested on tens of thousands of people and compared with hospital-grade equipment, the Solgar Smart Mirror offers reliable insights while remaining a wellness tool. It is for general wellness only and is not a substitute for medical advice, treatment, testing or diagnosis.
The Solgar Smart Mirror will be available at John Bell & Croyden, 50-54 Wigmore Street, London from 29th January 2025. It can also be accessed online via the Solgar website at www.solgar.co.uk
