FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY
Dear Healthcare Professional,
We at Nestlé Health Science are committed to supporting the identification and management
of dysphagia and providing greater awareness to sufferers and carers of those experiencing
swallowing difficulties. As such we have developed a website to provide further information on
the symptoms and causes of dysphagia.
www.nestlehealthscience.co.uk/dysphagia-awareness
The person presenting this letter has recently visited our dysphagia awareness website as they
may be experiencing swallowing difficulties and along with downloading this letter, they have
completed the EAT 10 swallowing assessment1 questionnaire which is a quick and easy
self-assessment to help identify those at potential risk of dysphagia.
Following the completion of the swallowing assessment there is an indication that they may have
dysphagia symptoms and will require a formal swallowing assessment.

Once a formal diagnosis is reached and should
a thickener product be required for the dietary
management of swallowing difficulties or dysphagia, we
at Nestlé Health Science produce a xanthan gum-based
thickener named Resource® ThickenUp® Clear.2

Yours sincerely,
Nestlé Health Science
