What is Peptamen Junior Advance?

Peptamen® Junior Advance is a nutritionally complete, 100% whey peptide formula suitable for tube feeding. It is designed to meet the increased energy needs of the most fragile and difficult-to-feed paediatric patients aged 1 to 10 years with or at risk of malnutrition, such as critically ill/stressed children; pulmonary, cardiovascular, hepatic, renal and head trauma patients; and children with more severe gut barrier dysfunction.

Administration and dosage

For enteral use only. Suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Nutritionally complete in:

1-3 years: 820 ml

4-6 years: 1143 ml

7-10 years: 1314 ml

ACBS approved. Indicated as a sole source of nutrition for children
aged 1-10 years on medical grounds for short bowel syndrome,
intractable malabsorption, patients with proven inflammatory
bowel disease and bowel fistulae



Not suitable for patients with a cows’ milk allergy.



Suitable for children above 1 year of age. Do not mix food and medication with feed.

Shelf life and storage

Shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture when stored at room temperature. Shake well before use. Unopened, store in a cool, dry place. If spiked, use within 24 hours. If uncapped, unused portion to be recapped, refrigerated and used within 24 hours.
